If you want to tell your BFF, "thank you for being a friend", there might be another way to do so: Go with her on the Golden Girls At Sea: A Golden Girls Fan Cruise (yes, it exists) – provided your bestie is a big Golden Girls fan like you.
The themed cruise on the Celebrity Infinity has activities related to the Emmy-winning sitcom featuring four older single women sharing a home in Miami: Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Dorothy's 80-year-old mother Sophia.
The five-day cruise sets off from Miami, Florida (but of course) on Feb 24, 2020, and will stop in Key West and Cozumel, Mexico, before heading back to Miami.
There will be a cheesecake party (after all, the cast ate more than 100 cheesecakes throughout the series), a Shady Pines craft corner (named after where the women lived), a Key West Golden Girls Bar Crawl, The Rusty Anchor Karaoke Party, Dorothy's Bingo, and more.
Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia look-a-likes can also enter a costume contest, and end their night with a One Night In St Olaf Dance Party (where Rose is from) complete with a classic game of Ugel and Flugel.
On top of the themed activities, Golden Girls wannabes can also dine on award-winning cuisine that offers a different menu every night, soak up the jacuzzi and outdoor pool as well as enjoy Broadway-style theatre, circus shows, comedy clubs, magic, dancing and live music.
Packages for the cruise start at US$986.69 (S$1,339.28) for an Oceanview cabin (based on double occupancy).
The Golden Girls sitcom ran from September 1985 to May 1992, with a total of 180 episodes spanning seven seasons. Starring Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, the critically acclaimed series won several awards, with all four of its main stars receiving an Emmy Award each.
