Suria announces first meet-and-greet prelude event for Pesta Perdana
Also, Bantal Buruk Saloma leads with 11 nominations for the 15th edition of the biennial awards airing on Suria on Mar 30.

To commemorate the 15th edition of Pesta Perdana, Suria fans can look forward to Viva Pesta! – the award show's first meet-and-greet event held at Mediacorp Campus. Hosted by AB Shaik and Farhana M Noor, the free event will take place on Mar 16 from 12pm to 6pm.
Perdana Ekstra!, the prelude show that usually airs a day before the awards, will also return. Hosted by Hans Hamid and Hana Rosli, viewers can catch the prelude show on Suria on Mar 29 at 9.30pm.Â

The highlight of the nominations, announced today (Feb 21) at Swissotel The Stamford, was social drama Bantal Buruk Saloma, which received 11 nominations. The drama Tujuh Hari follows closely with 10 nominations, while Mekah Di Hati and Tekan Minyak tie with seven nominations each.
Taufik Batisah, winner of the first season of Singapore Idol, received two nominations, one each for his lead roles in the telemovie Gunting and the series of the same name.

A total of 31 awards will be given out during the show, including the Pesta Perdana Emas (Lifetime Achievement) and the Rancangan Paling Popular (Most Popular Programme)Â as decided by viewership.Â
Vying for the top prize of Personaliti Lelaki Paling Popular (Most Popular Male Personality) are Fadhli Abdullah, Hisyam Hamid, Izzat Yusof, Norman Ishak and Sufian Ahmad.

Up for Personaliti Wanita Paling Popular (Most Popular Female Personality) are their counterparts Endang Rahayu, Hannah Delisha, Huda Ali, Izyan Mellyna and Nurul Aini.
The two top prizes will be decided by online votes, and the public can cast their votes on Toggle (toggle.sg/pestaperdana) from 10am on Mar 15 till 10pm on Mar 30.Â
Some nominees have already achieved acclaim overseas. SR115 was awarded Best Original Screenplay at the 1st Asian Academy Creative Awards last December.Â
The same drama is a finalist for Best Drama and Best Screenplay at the upcoming 2019 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards.
Honouring the best in Malay television, the 15th edition of the biennial awards will be attended by guest of honour Zaqy Mohamad, Minister of State for National Development and Manpower. Hosted by Khairudin Samsudin, the awards will air on Suria from 8.30pm.
