GOT7’s Jackson Wang has released a new song titled 過 Should’ve Let Go, which features Singaporean Mandopop star JJ Lin.

The single officially dropped on Thursday Dec 17.  A day later, the Hong Kong rapper-singer-dancer, who is also a member of popular South Korean boy group, unveiled the music video for the track.

According to NME.com, the Mandarin song features both Wang and Lin duetting with one another, recalling memories of past relationships that should’ve ended earlier than they really did.

26-year-old Wang then took to social media to share more about the song, writing: “Thankful for what happened in the past, and grateful for the process. This is our story, hope you guys like it.”

He also took the opportunity to personally thank Lin in a message, stating: “Besides music, I’m thankful for what you’ve taught me in this journey of life.”

過 Should’ve Let Go is Jackson Wang’s third single for the year, following 100 Ways in March, and Pretty Please with Swedish EDM duo Galantis in September.

According to a report by Bandwagon Asia, Wang has also been busy partnering up with Chinese Esports organisation Victory Five, who is one of the organisations competing in the top-level professional league for League of Legends in China (LPL). He follows the likes of fellow K-pop star EXO's Sehun and Mandopop icon Jay Chou who also have stakes in Esports teams.

According to Spotify’s year-end figures, Lin – who most recently released the album ‘Drifter’ and collaborated with Steve Aoki – has been crowned the platform’s most-streamed local artist in Singapore.
