K-pop girl group Blackpink set to return in June, confirms agency YG Entertainment
The news comes less than two weeks after the announcement that the group had collaborated with Lady Gaga on her upcoming album, Chromatica.

There’s another thing to look forward to once the "circuit breaker" ends – hopefully – and that’s the new album and return of worldwide sensation Blackpink.
The news was confirmed by the group’s agency YG Entertainment on Monday (May 4) in a statement that read: “BLACKPINK is scheduled to make a June comeback. Once the exact date has been finalised, we will officially share the news with fans first. Thank you.”

The statement is in response to earlier reports that the group had finished recording a new album and was gearing up to film a new music video.Â
The June time frame will square them off against fellow girl group Twice. According to Yonhap News Agency, the nine-member band announced in an online live stream that they will be releasing a new single, More & More, on Jun 1.
The release date would probably mean that Twice could be the first to steal the show, but with both massively popular bands putting out music in the coming months, we doubt K-pop fans will be complaining.
The new album from Blackpink will be the first release since Kill This Love dropped in Apr 2019. The music video has more than 816 million views on YouTube to date.
More recently, the band was revealed late last month to have collaborated with Lady Gaga on a track called Sour Candy from her upcoming Chromatica album.
