South Korean boyband Winner will join Super Junior as headliners at this year’s HallyuPopFest slated for May 25 and May 26.
The group was the final act announced on Saturday (Mar 23) in a reveal that involved a “flash mob” staged outside Wisma Atria along Orchard Road.
Winner debuted in 2013, becoming the first male K-pop group to come out of industry bigwig YG Entertainment since BIGBANG. It has four members: Jinwoo, Mino, Seunghoon and Seungyoon. A fifth member, Taehyun, left the group in 2016.
A total of 15 artists are set to perform at the K-pop festival, which will be held at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
They are Super Junior, Winner, A.C.E, (G)I-DLE, GWSN, Hyolyn, Kanto, Kard, Monsta X, N.Flying, NU'EST, Oh My Girl, Pentagon, Trei and VERIVERY.
Tickets are priced at S$288, S$258, S$198, S$138 and S$98 for Categories 1 through 5, and will go on sale Mar 30 at 10am via www.sportshubtix.sg, as well as at the Singapore Indoor Stadium box office, The Star Performing Arts Centre box office, Scotts Square concierge and all SingPost outlets.
Each ticket provides access to the day’s two concert events – a two-hour-long afternoon showcase of the up-and-coming artists and an evening one lasting three hours, where the bigger acts will perform individual sets of at least 30 minutes each.
Those holding Categories 1, 2 and 3 tickets are also entitled to the purchase of a S$68 HallyuPass, which allows them to participate in an “artist engagement” session with one act.
Touted as Singapore's only K-pop festival, HallyuPopFest made its debut in 2018 with more than 20 artists including Apink, BTOB and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.
This year’s edition will see a new segment called HallyuTown, which will function as the main festival square where the red carpet event will be held. HallyuTown will also have booths selling Korean food and beauty products.
