Who's The Man? Taylor Swift is unrecognisable in her new music video
The singer's directorial debut for her song about male privilege features a male lead getting away with bad behaviour but tune in till the end to find out the twist.

Maybe the Mission: Impossible crew could take some tips from Taylor Swift’s makeup team after watching her super-realistic disguise for her new music video, released on Thursday (Feb 27).
The music video for The Man, off Swift's latest album Lover, also marks the singer's directorial debut. In the video, the main character is seen getting away with bad behaviour such as urinating on the train platform, man-spreading on the subway and throwing a tantrum during a tennis match.Â
It's only when the end credits roll do viewers find out that Swift was playing the main man all along, thanks to a combination of makeup and CGI.Â
In a social media post, the singer said she spent four to six hours in the makeup chair every day to be transformed into a convincing man.
The video is a fitting portrayal of the song's lyrics, which talks about the different treatment men and women get.Â
In one scene, Swift sings, “What's it like to brag about raking in dollars/And getting b****es and models?” as her character mimics an hourglass shape with his hands.
In another scene, the main character is seen with scantily-clad bikini models on a yacht as Swift sings “I'd be just like Leo, in Saint-Tropez”, referencing actor Leonardo DiCaprio who is known for his penchant for dating younger models.Â
The music video is filled with other Easter eggs, which Swift fans who have followed her career may be able to spot.Â
The scene of the man urinating on the train platform is said to be about her feud with Scooter Braun. The wall on which the main character relieves himself contains the names of Swift's albums that Braun owns, namely, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation.Â
And if that's not clear enough, there's also a sign with a skate scooter and a red line across it.
We get it: No Scooters.Â
