Ministers speak on AGO's audit on PA, train service disruptions

Minister for Manpower Lim Swee Say, speaking on behalf Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong, gave a breakdown of the 13 tenancy contracts cited by the Auditor-General’s Office in its FY2014/15 report for waiver of competition without prior approval from the People’s Association. Mr Lim said PA acknowledges its shortcomings in this area and has taken immediate steps to enhance compliance. Senior Minister of State for Transport Josephine Teo also told the House about LTA's review of SMRT's measures to provide alternative transport in cases of train breakdowns.
